Green Party wants to double population of Ireland

Robbing from future generations to pay for current generation's needs and whims is the very definition of unsustainability.

Dail Debates

Eamon Ryan, the Green Party leader, wants to bring in refugees on a vast scale so that the population of Ireland will double to 10 million. In the same speech he talks about "sustainable development goals". Bringing in more refugees on this scale will require a larger welfare state, which in turn will require increased government spending, which in turn means higher taxes and even higher budget deficits and debt than we have now (currently € 214 billion and counting). This robs from future generations to pay for current generation's needs and whims. The very definition of unsustainability.

Housing these refugees will require tonnes of concrete, less green areas, more energy and hence more fossil fuels as current renewable technology is incapable of providing reliable cheap energy.

The very definition of unsustainability.

  1. 10 million would be a normal and healthy population level for the Island of Ireland.

Most of the country is chronically underpopulated and it causes us a lot of problems.

However turning Ireland in to Syria or a Multicultural free for all is not the solution.

Planting settlers didn't work out well in the North, we've been here before.

    1. Immigration is a separate issue, personally I'm in favor of immigration into Ireland of about a couple of million over the next 10 years or so. But I want people who are employable and not burden on the state. Different culture is ok but not culture that is anti human rights like say Wahhabism.

But anyway the point of the article is that how can you have sustainable living if you continue running more and more budget deficits and run up higher debt.

    2. How can you criticise Eamon Ryan when your own opinion is only slightly less bananas? Do you think there are two million people in the world who both meet your criteria and also actually want to move to Ireland? I doubt it. Instead you will end up with a population of Africans used to subsistence living, and you will be dragged down to that level. It will be poetic justice for your avaricious approach to the question of immigration, if nothing else.

    3. The easiest way is the one nobody would think about, encourage a population boom like the west did in the 50's after WW2. Instead of spending all that money bringing in outsiders who will destroy and replace your culture spend it on people who will have children and continue your culture.

    4. Well maybe you should understand my rationale first. We have a problem in Ireland with young people who are voting for mainstream parties because their parents and their grandparents did. These parties are now becoming more socialist / green and vehemently pro EU. Groupthink is rife in modern Ireland. So we need more immigration in Ireland particularly from Europe and Eastern Europe. Putting a cap on debt and budget deficits would prevent long term welfare dependents. The green party who want a sustainable future are pushing for more debt and more deficit spending.

  2. In 100 years time there will be a roughly recognizable Japan, Israel or Iran. The western concept of people as fungible interchangeable economic units, if it continues will mean for Ireland and most of the West this will not be the case.
Thanks though for pointing out the incredible inconsistency in green talking points.
Africas 1 Bn population is projected to quadruple by 2100. Ruining Ireland will not stop that.

  4. "The man of the future will be a mongrel. Today’s races and classes will disappear owing to the disappearing of space, time, and prejudice. The Eurasian-Negroid race of the future, similar in its outward appearance to the Ancient Egyptians, will replace the diversity of peoples with a diversity of individuals."

  5. Let's reduce the number of Irish people in their homeland, and increase the number of Africans, Middle Easterners etc

    Why?

If you have to ask, you are a racist.

  6. The scary thing is most of these immigrants are guys. Sweden already has a male/female ration higher than China.

I assume that this massive importation of young men is supported for some sort of sexual reasons, though that is the great unmentionable.

  7. Eamon Ryan is a filthy subhuman traitor. How about we increase the population of Eire by Irish people creating Irish babies?

  8. There is one group of people you should ask about the effect of mass emigration: The native Americans. They will soon tell you. They are living on reservations now when at one time they ruled the land.

  9. Here's a thought, how about you encourage Irish people to have more children instead of replacing them in thier own country through mass third world migration?
